BeanBoozled Special Minion Edition Review

I have always had a sweet tooth so I was really excited to try these special edition minion Beanbozzled jelly beans. The Jelly belly company have launched a special Minion edition of jelly bean featuring two unique flavour pairs.

The despicable me minions have been known to be sweet and have a mischievous nature so the sweet are based on this one will be sweet but the lookalike could be something you wasn’t expecting. There are two new lookalike pairs, as we now minions love bananas so the lookalike is pencil shavings, but it get worse new to the weird and wild selection is a flavour  inspired by Dr. Nefario and his gadget the fart gun, so minion fart is paired with apple.

The lookalike pairs in the special edition include

Minion fart or apple, Pencil shavings or banana, Barf or peach, Booger or juicy pear, canned dog food or chocolate pudding, Mouldy cheese or Caramel corn, Dead fish or strawberry and banana smoothie, Rotten egg or buttered popcorn, Spoiled milk or coconut, and stinky socks or tutti-fruitti.

Me and my kids decided to play a game with these, we all had a go at choosing one and tasted it, I was first to go I pick up a green one which was either a green apple or minion fart, well it didn’t go down well it literally tasted like fart the taste just lingered in my mouth, for some reason I kept picking the dodgy pairs but the caramel corn was the most delicious the taste was amazing. this game was so much fun and actually nerve recking  not knowing what flavour you was going to end up with.

Jelly bean dares the bravest of sweet lovers, and foodies to try there luck with either choosing the delicious or the wild lookalike. I think that’s what makes this so fun you never know what is coming next. I would definitely buy this sweets again either to prank someone or to give to my kids as they found them funny and enjoyed playing are made up game.

Give them a try, but beware there are some nasties  amongst the goodies.

Born in the 80s Raised in the 90s

Growing up in the 90s was the most incredible childhood ever for me and so different from today. I was playing out everyday and when the street lights come on was when you knew it was time to go home  it was the best era ever. Most of you may say how could you live like this when I tell you what childhood was like but believe me it wasn’t at all bad.

I will start of with tv channels there was no sky or cable in my house in the early 90s, the only channels we got was 1-5 even channel 5 was a terrible picture when you did get it, but yes they were your channels, my favourite after school was around the twist it was bonkers and made no sense what so ever.

The only text we knew was teletext this would show you the news, sports, what was on tv that day, there was no press the red button with easy options.

Vhs video tapes we didn’t have dvd or Blu-ray discs the problem was if you wanted to watch a film you would have to rewind it to watch, the same thing with cassettes I used to listen to the top 40 on kiss 100 just to record the new songs, but if you wanted to listen to a certain song you would have to go through the torture of rewinding or fast forwarding the cassette just to find that song there was no cds to easily find the song you want on.

We had video games even though some of them wasn’t in colour but the struggle of getting to the end of the final stage and then running out of lives was torture we didn’t have the privilege of being able to save the games like you do now.

If we had homework and we didn’t understand it we had to pray to god that are parent would, there was no google to research. Google was not my best friend like it is today.

Clothing well I though I was gods gift walking around in are peddle pusher and clogs. Bon Blue was also the one tracksuit that most people had if you had this you was classed as rich, also I wore snapper tracksuit bottom that were in fashion, what on earth was I thinking.

So there you have it growing up in the 90s. Life wasn’t a struggle as I didn’t know any different back then, but I would most defiantly love to relive my childhood.

Tips to relax

Everyone gets exhausted sometimes whether you work, looking after your kids, doing house work, shopping all day, its tough and stressful, there is nothing better then winding down, but it is sometimes difficult to switch off and relax in the evening leading to something far worse. So I’m giving you some tips that I use to help me to relax.

Switching off

No one can work 24/7 and sometimes its easier said then done. I know when you have kids and they go to bed you cant say I’m switching off now till the morning, but you can still relax until you are needed, or if you work don’t look at your work emails. you have finished, relax, don’t take your work home with you unless you actually work for home, which can be more stressful so you should know when its time so relax also.

Herbal tea

Drink a herbal tea at the end of the day, there is something so relaxing about a herbal tea, and there will always be one the you love, I absolutely adore the lemon one, there are so many different flavours to choose from. Herbal teas contain potent ingredients that reduce the levels of stress hormones in the body and calm the mind.

Write a journal

There is something therapeutic about writing a journal. you can write anything you wish, from activities, obstacles from that day or even how you have felt that day, I find that writing it all down releases it and gets it out of your system, Just don’t loose it every one will know everything.

Relaxing bath

Get into a nice hot bath it reduces tension in your body and obviously smelling fresh. Ok so its a bit harder if you have kid running mayhem around you, and you don’t want to get in, get wet, get out. A bit of advice try when they are soundo, although 9 times out of 10 the word that you don’t like echo’s down the hallway “Muuuummmmmy”Listen to music

To be honest I’m not to type of person to listen to classical music its just not what I am interested in. But relaxing music has been scientifically been proven to lower the blood pressure and slow the heart beat. Ed Sheeran is the one for me though.

Read a book

Reading has so many benefits, so sit down in a quiet spot and forget about all you troubles for that day. I find that after reading for half an hour or so my eyes start feeling heavy and fall asleep.

Go for a stroll

I love going for a walk especially after a long day, I take every opportunity to leave the house even just to go to the local corner shop, those 5 minutes of peace are vital to me. But go for a walk through a massive park get away from the noise. Who doesn’t love peace and quiet.

Spend time with your friends. There is nothing worse then all work no play. You don’t want to be stuck indoors like a hermit, make time for your friends it will only depress you if all you do is work and go home, yeah you maybe tired after a long day and no doubt your friends are tired too but go with the flow.

So there are my top 8 ideas to relax. Which one do you prefer?

A interview with a 5 year old

I though it would be interesting to interview my son, he is 5. I looked up what questions to ask him, at first he didn’t want to have a interview (as he called it) he was busy doing other things. Eventually he decided to give me the time of day and I begun.

1. What is your name ? Alfie.
2. How old are you ? 5.
3. What makes you happy ? Why mummy ? chocolate
4. What makes you sad ? Barbies
5. What makes you Laugh ? Crocodiles.
6. Who is your best friend ? Zeynab and Bobby.
7. What is your favourite thing to do ? Urm, This is boring maybe do work, do painting work.
8.  What do you want to be when you are older ? I would like to be a king, No a dog.
9. What is your favourite food ? Papa Johns.
10.What is your favourite song ? Flying bum.
11. What is your favourite animal ? Dog.
12. Who do you love most ? Zeynab.
13. What does daddy do at work ? Do buildings.
14. What does mummy do at home ? Lays down ( cheers Alf ).
15. What did you do today ? Are we finished yet, worked.
16. Last question, What is love ? A heart.

I had fun doing this and I had a right giggle all the answers are what he said word for word, and half why through is was huffing and puffing complaining how bored he was and couldn’t get away from me fast enough

La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur review

When I got to the age of 12 I started becoming interested  it make up not to the extreme of buying foundation but eye shadow and mascara but as I got older I started getting foundation to cover my spot and uneven skin tone as well as my freckles I hated them and still do. But every foundation and concealer I bought wouldn’t even cover the spots and left my skin so dry even if I had just moisturised. Even after talking on the phone to someone the screen would have more foundation on it then my face. But I would never buy anything more than £10 because if it was the same I would have been gutted at the age of 16 and spending a quarter of my wage ( weekend job ) would have hurt me even more.

Then I started experimenting some where better others where worse but the La Roche-Posay BB Blur really caught my eye.

It stated it was specifically formulated for oily and blemish prone skin that needs coverage, the cream mousse formula reduces sebum production, excess shine and oil. It contains blur technology and shade adapting BB pigments that adapt to the colour of your skin upon application to noticeably reduce the appearance of pore, fines lines and redness for a matt and velvety finish. That was suitable for any skin types.

I was so excited to use this and with the other experiences with foundation that wasn’t for me this one looked very promising.

I applied a small blob, I looked very dark compared to my skin tone, but it was a airy mousse I suppose it reminded me of Aero. Putting it on it felt quite heavy on the face but rubbing it in was incredible this very dark foundation actually blended with my skin tone and felt like it turned into a powder my uneven skin tone was now even my spots were invisible. Foundation on the phone after a phone call was no longer there, I have the most perfect complexion and well impressed with how long it lasts. It ticks all my boxes and its in my daily routine I don’t think I would ever change this product and did everything it said it done.
